British Boy Band and X Factor UK Alum One Direction won 3 Moon Men at the MTV Video Music Awards, beating out the likes of Rihanna, Justin BIeber, and breakout star Carly Rae Jepsen. The lads won Best Pop Video and Best New Artist, plus the Most Share-worthy Video award – which was voted on by fans.
Rihanna, who led the VMAs with a total of 5 nominations, went home with a lone, yet the most coveted one — Video Of The Year for her hit single “We Found Love.”
Other winners include rapper Nicki Minaj who won best female video for “Starships,” as well as Chris Brown who won two awards – best male video and best choreography for “Turn Up the Music.” Drake also won one — Best Hip-Hop Video for “HYFR.” It’s definitely a Hip-Hop-filled night at the VMAs.
