You’ve just said goodbye to someone you loved with all you heart. It’s been a long journey to get to this final goodbye.
Your’e tired and emotionally spent and now filled with grief. The emotion of grief is consuming and what may surprise you, as it did C.S. Lewis, is that a big part of grief is fear.
As you take the next step into life without you loved one, you feel fear about how you’re going to handle life without that special someone. Fear about what life looks like now. Fear of being alone. Fear of being lonely. So, what do you do? Two things come to mind…first is allow your friends to be there for you. Let them in to your fear and grief.
The second and most important is to remember that you are never alone. God is with you. He knows how your grief and pain feel. He cares. Lean on Him and let Him love you. You will get through this.
