Meet The ‘Survivor: Philippines’ Castaways!

I AM A HUGE HUGE FAN OF ‘SURVIVOR‘.  I grew up watching this hit Reality Show.  I never missed a single episode, and I am talking waaaaay back Season 1 in Borneo (Richard Hatch was the first ever Sole Survivor)

Fast forward and would you believe 24 seasons of Survivor have aired?  And FINALLY the newest season of Survivor will be in my hometown the Philippines!  Well it’s long overdue and I have never been this excited!  And what’s more exciting are the returning castaways!  I know some of the hardcore fans are a bit tired already of bringing back past castaways, but this time around, the returning castaways have one thing in common:  Mark Burnett and Jeff Probst are bringing back three previous players who left the game due to medical reasons.  Let’s cut the chase and meet the 18 new castaways who will be battling out for the million dollars and the title of Sole Survivor.

  • KALABAW TRIBE – Joining Kalabaw (Filipino term for a Carabao) Tribe is Johnathan “Mutiny” Penner from Survivor: Cook Islands and Survivor: Micronesia.  Penner was removed from the game (Micronesia) due to a infection that was life-threatening.

  • MATSING TRIBE – Joining Matsing  (Filipino term for Monkey) Tribe is Russell Swan from Survivor: Samoa, who was memorable because of that very scary Survivor moment that Jeff Probst had to interrupt the whole challenge when Russell collapsed in the middle of it and was medically evacuated due to severe dehydration and heart rate drop.

Zane Knight

  • TANDANG TRIBE – Joining Tandang (Filipino term for Rooster) Tribe is Michael Skupin from Survivor: The Austrlian Outback (Season 2).  He was the one who fell into the fire and left the game due to severe burns.  I personally loved Michael that had he stayed, Colby Donaldson and Tina Wesson would not have made it to Final 2 with such ease.
